92% Pima 8% SeaCell 8/2ne 3360ypp. The SeaCell, made from seaweed, lends to the long-staple Pima cotton a touch of velvet to the drier but very soft cotton. May dye with white neps, making the finished piece look like a galaxy of stars is spangled over it. (Not all cones do this and I haven’t found a good way to tell which ones will.) Priced per cone on 500g cones (1.1lb).

Luxury Swiss Sparkle Silk – luxury Swiss-milled mulberry silk with iridescent Lurex brand sparkle. Slight ecru color, sleek, STRONG, and shiny, plied with a continuous strand of sparkle (not stellina). Lace weight, 2,640 yards per pound. Comes on 400g (about 14oz) cones. Priced per cone.

So soft, it’s often mistaken for silk when people handle it. Shiny and not as dense as Tencel, and doesn’t squeak. 500g/1.1lb cones (+/- 5%). 8/2ne, 3360 yards per pound, lace weight yarn. Made from 100% upcycled dandelion plant matter (the roots are used in herbal tea making, but the matter above the soil does not have much commercial use).
Has a slightly wispier/more cashmere feel than 100% lavender viscose.
