This high-quality 15/2×2 tussah silk yarn has a nice sheen and mostly smooth strand (some nubs and slubs to be expected, but not a lot of them), a base (the two-ply yarn) twist that is neither very tight nor very loose, with a softer 2×2 ply and offers strength and grip/texture to the finished product. Tussah silk is made from silk cocoons spun by silk moths that eat varied or wild diets rather than mulberry leaves.
